Chris Hu

ANALYST, ACQUISITIONS & DEVELOPMENT

Chris Hu is an analyst at Spandrel Development Partners, LLC, and supports acquisition underwriting, executes due diligence functions, and participates throughout the development process.

Prior to joining Spandrel, Chris supported the development team at Charney Companies, where he participated throughout the development processes of mixed-used developments in the Gowanus opportunity zone in Brooklyn as well as luxury condos, rental apartments, and student housing in Long Island City, Downtown Brooklyn, and Manhattan. Prior to Charney, as an undergraduate, Chris gained valuable experience in real estate, private equity, and M&A at Ares Management Corporation and Leerink Partners. At Ares Management, Chris was primarily responsible for analyzing and underwriting real estate investments. At Leerink Partners, Chris provided M&A and capital markets advisory support.

Chris is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Real Estate at New York University’s Schack Institute of Real Estate and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
